Study on Slagging Characteristics of Co-Combustion of Meager Coal and Spent Cathode Carbon Block

چکیده

The harmless disposal of spent cathode carbon blocks (SCCBs) has become an urgent issue in the primary aluminum industry, and SCCBs by co-combustion pulverized coal boilers is expected to be most effective treatment method. A muffle furnace at 815 °C was used this study perform a experiment meager SCCBs. ash fusion characteristics (AFTs), microscopic morphology, minerals composition were characterized. interaction mechanism different mineral components change AFTs viscosity-temperature investigated using FactSage software. Results show that deformation temperature (DT) correlated linearly with SCCB addition ratio, whereas other characteristic temperatures exhibit nonlinear relationship. contents SiO2, Al2O3, Na2O collectively determine DT ash, influence degree from high low order Na2O, Al2O3. phase diagram Na2O–Al2O3–SiO2 accurately predict changing trend melting point ash. ratio changes between refractory fusible as well low-temperature eutectic reaction sodium- calcium-containing minerals, are main factors affecting When blending amount 5%, mostly complete combustion achieved, slagging does not occur easily. optimal obtained method aspect characteristics. This work lays theoretical foundation for industrial application.
